The two plate racks feature the original plate rail beading, which ensures that the plates on display do not slide off the rack. Below, the base, which is also constructed of solid oak, using a pegged construction method, features a two-plank top above three working oak-lined hand dovetailed drawers. Each drawer features the original brass swan neck handles and escutcheons. Below, there is a shaped elegant apron to the front and side of the dresser. The base stands on two baluster-turned legs to the front and straight legs to the back. Stretchers connect the legs together for added strength and stability.

This dresser boasts a superb rich dark-oxblood oak colour, which has been created from 200 years of care and cleaning. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

The dresser also boasts small sought after size, which makes it an excellent practical furnishing, piece and it is a stunning example of a dresser from this period.
