A oil on canvas laid down on board, depicting a Regency period Gentleman. The work is slightly naive indicating that the painting is most probably that of a purely commercial portrait artist and as such the work is typically unsigned. The painting has had some cleaning and slight restoration. The portrait is mounted in a Regency period simple gilt cushion frame. C.1820.
