Description

This is an excellent hand-coloured Aquatint etching depicting cavalrymen of the 17th Lancers by John Harris, published in the series Costumes of the British Army, 1855. The etching is in the style of Henry Martens (1790-1868), a prolific painter of horses and military personnel.

The aquatint is in excellent condition and it measures 50cm by 40cm.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
