Description

This is a charming oil painting in the manner of George Morland depicting a woman and her daughter feeding pigs in a barn. The picture has a good depth of colour and is painted on a solid oak panel which is framed in its original, top quality swept gilt frame. The deep frame is in good order and retains its original gilt finish. The picture dates from the early Victorian era, circa 1840. The painting measures 36cm by 33cm including the frame.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
