Still Life in Oil by Wilhelm Schutze

A wonderful and imposing oil on canvas depicting a stunning blue vase full of summer wild flowers by Wilhelm Schutze (1840-1898). The painting shows a beautiful gilt blue vase overflowing with poppies, cornflowers, wheat ears etc and is typical of the artists work. The painting is mounted in the original pine frame and has had one small hole professionally repaired. The work is of a good large size and very decorative, is signed and dates to c.1890.
