A fine Victorian oil on canvas laid down on board. The painting shows a flame haired young lady seated with a basket looking away dreamily. The painting is not signed but is of a lovely quality and probably depicts a character in fiction of the time. The painting is mounted in an original Victorian gilt frame, and the painting is uncleaned with a few dots of old over paint visible. A nice faded country house painting. C.1880.
