Late 19th Century Watercolour Landscape of Beccles, Suffolk

A nice quality late 19th century watercolour landscape of Beccles, Suffolk by William Frederick Austin (1833-1899).

This landscape watercolour depicts the market town of Beccles in Suffolk and is signed by the artist (1870).

The artist has included very detailed images of the town including the church and houses which can be seen in photos 4 & 5.

In the foreground the artist has depicted grazing cattle, boats and people walking along the banks of the River Waveney.

The piece is framed in an original oak frame and is in good condition.

William F Austin painted many similar paintings of various towns & villages, many of local landscapes in Norfolk & Suffolk as he was based in Norwich, Norfolk.
