Antique, Georgian Design, Oak Dresser with Rack

This Georgian design antique oak dresser was actually constructed around 1900 in the Edwardian period. Heavily influenced by the Arts & Crafts movement its build quality and timbers used make this a very attractive and desirable piece. It has a moulded cornice above a shaped frieze below which are several plate racks and two small cupboards displaying quality brass Arts & Crafts fittings. The lower section has a rectangular moulded top over three oak lined drawers with the original pierced brass handles. Spanning the front is a shaped apron flanked by cabriole shaped legs. This quality piece is a warm medium shade of oak with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
