20th Century Original Framed and Signed English Oil Painting by Charlotte Hoyt-desmond.

Description

20th century original signed and framed oil painting on canvas entitled "Binstead in August," by Charlotte Hoyt-Desmond, 1916-2006.

She was the former Lady Samuel, the widow of Sir John Samuel BT, later married to HJP Desmond, a banker and amateur artist, who died in 1971. Her early art training took place in Canada and England, where she studied with the late Hayward Veal, the Australian impressionist painter.

Her work has been shown in London exhibitions including the Royal Society of Marine Painters and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, and is represented in private collections in Britain, Canada, and the United States.

Charlotte Hoyt-Desmond died in August of 2006.

Size framed-13 inches wide by 11 inches high.

This is a lovely, very skillfully painted oil on canvas painting, in excellent condition.
