: A charming oil on canvas, depicting a young Italian girl delivering a letter and ringing the doorbell. The girl is shown in typical dress and laden with market produce. The quality of the painting is very good, but it is not signed, it was probably by an Italian artist. The original frame has moulded decoration and is gilded, the gilding is quite worn but this works very well with the painting. The whole is in good condition, the painting has had one very small tear repaired. C.1890.
