A striking Art Deco period oil on canvas still life painting. The work shows a large blue vase with contrasting red and white flowers. The dramatic use of shape and colour in the work is typical of art deco design. The work is mounted in the original complementary painted frame. The painting is signed H.Jespers and is probably a Belgium artist. C.1930
