Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the 1850s.
Clearly this was an event of great celebration! Britannia flies the Royal Standard, as indeed does the priory on the mount, and various boats can be seen in the foreground and background, with everyone dressed in their "Sunday Best"!

Signed to the right-hand corner. 17.5ins wide; 11ins high, excluding the ornate frame. (44.5 x 28cms).
In 1846 Queen Victoria made a visit on her yacht to St. Michael's Mount, actually sailing into the harbour and anchoring.
