"Mother & Child" Charming Pair Engravings 1808

Description

"Come Father's Hope! Come Mother's Glory! Now listen to a Pretty Story" and "Mama Don't Let me beg in Vain, Pray Read That Pretty Book again" are a charming pair of stipple engravings by M.N.Bate after Adam Buck. These are a lovely rare early pair of engravings published in London in February and April 1808 at R. Ackermann's Repository of Arts, 101, Strand. Each measures 12"x 10". They are in old mounts and simple old gold frames giving an overall size of 22"x 17" for each.
