Collinge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
Over a distinctive flared base with single drawer and two large cupboards. Solid oak construction throughout. Excellent condition retaining the original decorative ironwork, leaded glass and Liberty & Co. stamped locks.

Typically for Wyburd the design references British vernacular furniture (the traditional high back dresser) whist introducing new forms and the influence European Art Nouveau in the flared shape of the base and decorative detail to the hinges. It was this distictive blend of styles produced in solid English oak which came to define the Liberty look of this period.
