Pocket Barometer & Altimeter by Negretti & Zambra

Description

An unusual good quality Victorian POCKET BAROMETER/ALTIMETER by the famous Victorian makers: Negretti & Zambra.

The gilded brass barometer is in full working order, with an outer dial moved by use of the knurled upper knob, whilst within the lid is the unusual circular ivory scale to forecast the weather. Both pieces are signed by the makers and the original leather outer case is stamped with the original owner's initials: J.H.W.
