A charming Victorian oil on canvas scene depicting a shooter out for sport on a winters morning. The work is by John Edwards, and is signed. Edwards was a Nottingham artist and exhibited profusely in the city at the end of the Victorian period, he was famous for his winter scenes, and this will be a scene from Nottingham. The work is mounted in the original gilt frame which has been regilded at some point, the whole is in good condition. C.1890.
