A fine quality oil on canvas portrait of a gentleman. The gentleman is shown dressed in suit with bright yellow tie and sports a wonderful moustache. The painting is mounted in the original gilt frame and silvered slip, the frame has been re-gilt at some point. The whole is in very good condition. The work is unsigned but retains the studio label to the reverse where it was commissioned from a professional painting and photography portrait studio. C.1890.
