"The Yorkshire Rose" Old Naive Livestock Picture

Description

"THE YORKSHIRE ROSE" is a charming old mezzotint after G.Horner, a Manchester based animal painter.

The picture measures 20"x 24" and is contained in a suitable old rosewood frame giving an overall size of

24"x 29".

It was engraved by C.Turner and published March 17th 1838 by Henry Nicholson Bedale.

It is also extensively inscribed below with the dimensions and weights of "This Wonderful Animal".

Condition is fairly good for a picture of this type. It is a good impression with some scuffing and dirt noticeable in the sky. This does not detract from this lovely old country picture.
