George Stanfield Walters R.b.a."on the Thames" Watercolour

Description

George Stanfield Walters R.B.A. lived between 1838 and 1924. He was a landscape and marine painter from London, exhibiting many pictures throughout the British Isles.

His work was shown at galleries including the Royal Academy, Liverpool, Manchester, the Royal Society of British Artists and the Royal Institute.

"ON THE THAMES" is a fine, beautifully painted example of his work. It is a watercolour measuring 12"x 7", is signed lower left and inscribed on reverse with it's title. It is contained in it's good original gilt mount and frame giving an overall size of 20"x 15".
