A fine oil on canvas portrait of a girl, by Sydney S. Morrish. The work shows the pretty girl looking down to her left with her long hair tied with a blue bow, she has a very thoughtful look. The work is framed in a painted grey oval, and with the lovely period frame which is painted with a green marble finish. The whole is a very attractive work in excellent condition, and is signed and dated 1873. Sydney S. Morrish was a genre, landscape and portrait painter, who exhibited between 1881 and 1894 he exhibited widely, including 13 works at the Royal Academy and at Liverpool and Manchester.
