Artist: D. Atherton Smith (Fl. Early 20th c)

Title: 'On the Grand Canal, Venice' and 'Gondolas on a Venetian Canal'

Medium: Oils on board.

Size: 7 1/2'' x 9 1/2'' each (unframed size in inches)

A pair one signed and inscribed verso.

A very fine pair of small atmospheric paintings of Venice painted on heavily with oil paint.

D. Atherton Smith (Fl. Early 20th c):

Lived in Paris before the First World War. He exhibited at Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool and at the Royal Scottish Academy. His whereabouts is unknown after the start of World War One.
