Regency mahogany barometer

This wheel type barometer has a hand that points to the barometric pressure and a second hand that you can move with the ivory knob below to mark the days reading to see if the pressure rises or falls. The case is of beautifully figured mahogany with the unusual feature of a "rounded" top and it incorporates a "Dry/Damp" indicator to the top; long bow-fronted thermometer; engraved and silvered main dial with convex glass and deep moulded cast brass bezel.

The barometer is in good working condition. (Circa 1820)
