Fred Lawson "The Sheep Dip, Apedale Moor" Watercolour

Description

Fred Lawson was born in Yeadon, Leeds in 1888. He studied at Dewsbury and Leeds Schools of Art before moving to Castle Bolton near Leyburn in Wensleydale, Yorkshire. He formed the Castle Bolton Group of Painters and was Vice President of the Yorkshire Union of Artists.

He exhibited his pictures at the Royal Academy, Liverpool, Glasgow, the Royal Institute and other local and National galleries.

"THE SHEEP DIP, APEDALE MOOR" measures 7"x 10" and is signed lower left.

This is a lovely watercolour by Lawson showing an interesting view close to the artist's home in Wensleydale.
