A Late Georgian Cornish Bleached Pine Dresser C1830

Description

A late Georgian bleached pine dresser and rack c1830.

Size 54 ins wide 17ins deep 71 ins high

This dresser which has gone a wonderful naturally pale bleached colour over the years has a drawer configuration typical of the West Cornwall area. The wide backboards indicate a date earlier in the 19th century as do the mouldings on the rack and shelf fronts. The proportions and size are excellent and it would look great in a seaside house or a cottage.

A dresser of similar configuration is illustrated on page 140 of English Country Furniture by David Knell
