Fred Cecil Jones "Guildford" Watercolour Landscape

Description

Fred Cecil Jones R.B.A. was born in Bradford, Yorkshire in 1891. He studied at Bradford and Leeds Colleges of Art. He taught art at Pudsey Grammar School and was Deputy Principal of Pudsey School of Art.

He exhibited at the Royal Academy (16 times), Royal Scottish Academy (12) and Liverpool (2).

This attractive watercolour shows a landscape near Guildford. It is inscribed "Guildford" and dated 1922. It is in very good original condition, is mounted in conservation board and is framed in a quality antique gilt frame. It measures 5"x 9", overall frame size 11"x 15".
