Lester Sutcliffe "Harvest Moonrise" Oil Painting

Description

Lester Sutcliffe was a Leeds and Whitby artist who lived between 1850 and 1930. He studied art in Birmingham and became a stage scenery painter before travelling in France and Italy. He exhibited extensively and showed many paintings including this one at the Royal Cambrian Academy.

"HARVEST MOONRISE" is a beautifully atmospheric oil on panel measuring 12"x 24."

It is inscribed on the reverse with the title

"HARVEST MOONRISE" and also:

"EXHIBITED AT R.C.ACADEMY 1905 by Lester Sutcliffe"

It is contained in it's quality original gilt frame.
