'The Lark' Horse Oil Painting by T. H. Shaw.

A good quality Victorian oil on board of a horse called 'The Lark' by the artist T.H.Shaw. The work shows a chestnut hunter in a stable yard, the work on the horse is superb and the landscape work is charmingly naive. The oil is mounted in the original good quality gilt frame which has a fluted seep and moulded corners. The artist is recorded but not exhibited, he would have made a living from travelling around painting the horses of the landed gentry. The whole has a great country house look and is in good untouched condition. Signed and dated 1890.
