Owen Bowen "Corn Stooks" Oil Painting

Description

Owen Bowen was born in Leeds in 1873. He also lived in Robin Hood's Bay and East Keswick.

Dales and coastal scenes were a speciality and he was a member of both the Staithes and Wharfedale Groups of Painters.

Bowen exhibited widely, including works at the Royal Academy, Royal Cambrian Academy, Liverpool and Manchester.

"CORN STOOKS, WHARFEDALE" is a lovely Yorkshire painting and is an excellent example of the artist's work. It is an oil on panel, is signed lower right and measures 11"x 17".
