Description

Lester Sutcliffe was a Yorkshire painter who worked between 1880 and 1930.

He was born in Leeds but later moved to Whitby on the Yorkshire coast where he lived and worked. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, The Royal Society of British Artists, Liverpool, Manchester and other galleries throughout the U.K.

"THE HERRING FLEET" is a beautifully painted oil on panel. It measures 7"x 20", is signed lower left and is contained in it's original gilt frame.

This is a good quality English Shipping oil painting

in an unusual attractive format.
