A watercolour painting of Bamburgh Castle and the Northumberland coast. The work is painted with highly watered down paint which is very difficult to do and allows the water to spread and create the landscape effects in an impressionistic fashion, the work is signed T McArdle but I can find no reference to the artist which is a surprise because of the quality of the work and the difficultly of painting this way. The work is in excellent condition and mounted in a gilt frame. C.1940''
