In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Cataloguer’s note

Written by Sellingantiques from the dealer’s photographs and listing
  • Period19th century
  • SizeH 50 cm (20 in) x W 100 cm (39 in)

This pair of nineteenth-century oil paintings by Johann Friedrich Voltz portrays pastoral landscapes populated by cattle, rendered in the animalier style with dramatic contrasts of sunlit areas and cool dark shade. Executed on board, the artworks are housed in matching moulded gilt frames with ornate layered borders and gilded finishes, showing gentle signs of age such as minor surface wear. Each rectangular piece measures 50 cm high by 100 cm wide, including the frames. They make a striking statement when hung together as a pair on a living room wall, above a sofa, or in a traditional dining room interior.
