Fine Antique English Porcelain has dated this piece to the Regency era.
Often these plaques were decorated by talented artists such as Thomas Steel and John Creswell but are rarely marked. It has been suggested that the artists would buy blank plaques from a factory and decorate them and sell them on a freelance basis.
Condition: The porcelain plaque is in excellent condition with no damage, no crazing, no oxidisation to the paint. There is some typical light damage to the giltwood frame.
