Liberty & Co Arts and Crafts Carved Elm Octagonal Plant Stand

This piece is being offered from a dispersal sale of Arts and Crafts mainly Liberty and Scottish School pieces which will be listed in the following days.

A Good looking piece of Carved elm furniture, the 14” table top is carved with stylised sunflowers, a classic Liberty design with 3 decorative cut out splayed legs and an X stretcher in the Arts and Crafts style.

The stand is in good condition, with very little wear to the 8 sided top it is 30” tall and 17” in diameter at the floor

This Victorian Arts and Crafts plant stand originates from the Liberty and Scottish School dispersal. The dark brown elm piece takes the form of an octagonal table top measuring 36 cm across, decorated with carved stylised sunflowers. Four splayed, pierced legs display carved floral motifs, connected near the base by an X-frame stretcher. The structure stands at 76 cm high and 43 cm wide, possessing a compact profile with very little wear visible on the eight-sided surface.
