This eighteenth century oak dresser and rack comes in two sections comprising a base cabinet and an upper plate rack. The dark timber has a deep tone and patination, set off by nineteenth century replacement brass drop handles with backplates, small round wooden knobs on the spice drawers, and brass keyhole escutcheons and door knobs. The base features a row of five small spice drawers above three larger drawers and three fielded panel cupboard doors below. The rack incorporates open shelving for display. Measuring 175 cm long, 175 cm high and 55 cm deep, this substantial piece suits multiple areas of the home today, functioning effectively in a dining room, kitchen or hallway for storage and display.
