Painted in a charming Post-Impressionist manner, the artist has used a particularly attractive palette of soft blues, sandy ochres and muted coastal tones, with lively, expressive brushwork throughout.
The composition is full of delightful detail, including the bathing tents, figures in fashionable dress, dogs upon the beach and the distinctive French coastal architecture beyond.
Signed “Duprès” (or similar) to the lower right.
