The English Interior has dated this Art Deco Borzoi Drawing to the 1920s.
Executed by a very talented hand indeed (signed Floch) the artist has worked with rapid, deft and lively strokes to capture this the high fashion canine breed of the era.

As is evidenced by this fine work the tall, lean look of the Borzoi breed aligned perfectly with the streamline aesthetic of the Art Deco Era. The continued popularity of Borzoi dogs was helped by Hollywood’s silent movie stars like Greta Garbo and Mae West, who posed with them in publicity photos for their films in the late 1920s to early 30s.
This drawing is in good condition and comes ready to hang and enjoy in a slightly later antique ebonised frame with gilt detail.
