It's a thoughtful interpretation that reminds us his most enduring tales began from careful observation of human nature.
Christensen studied under Charlotte Sode and Julie Meldahl before continuing her education in Paris and Russia. She became admired for her scenes and her careful observation of light. She's represented in Denmark's National Gallery.
Held in a late 19th-century gilt frame, which is probably original.
