Judy Fox Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.
Born Laura Elizabeth Rachel Troubridge (also known as Laura Troubridge or Mrs. Adrian C. Hope), she was a well-known professional artist from an aristocratic background.
Famous for her portraits of Queen Victoria and the royal family. She also painted children, fairy subjects, and illustrated books that were admired by figures like Oscar Wilde.

The portrait depicts a lovely young girl against a scenic backdrop. The pastels generate a very soft and peaceful image, and the detailing is exceptionally well done. This beauty would make an outstanding feature piece in many different rooms in the home, both contemporary and traditional.
