Walter Emsley (1860–1938) was a British artist recognized for his detailed oil and watercolour landscapes, particularly atmospheric scenes of rural life and Whitby. Primarily based in Manchester, with a period in Bushey, Hertfordshire, he is known for his, often, street-level depictions of Yorkshire, and specifically, the town of Whitby.
