Description

A charmingly naive sculpture in Lime wood depicting Atlas holding aloft a celestial globe, retains elements of the original paint with a deep blue globe and gold stars, Atlas adopts a pose similar to that of Artus Quellinus the Elder's rendition for the Royal Palace in Amsterdam from around 1650.

Standing on a marbled stepped plinth
