Portrait Miniature Study:

A charming antique hand-painted portrait miniature depicting a young gentleman in a dark coat with high collar, executed with delicate brushwork and subtle tonal shading. The miniature shows fine attention to facial modelling and expression, typical of 19th-century portrait miniature painting.

The painting is mounted within an oval metal brooch frame, allowing the piece to be worn or displayed as a small work of art. Portrait miniatures such as this were highly popular during the Georgian and Victorian periods, often created as personal keepsakes or tokens of affection.
