A charmingly naive oil on canvas, still life in the style of an old dutch master. The oil shows a silver chalice filled with various flowers and grapes and is signed: ''V B Heath'' an artist that I have been unable to locate but is likely to have been someone painting for their own amusement, and dated 1935. The picture is mounted in a bur maple frame with a gilt slip, which is nineteenth century and probable reused here. The whole is in good untouched condition and a perfectly charming article for a country cottage style interior.
