Henry Victor Martin was born in 1811. He studied in Birmingham and St Bartholomews Hospital, London. He became a member of the Royal college of Surgeons of England in 1834 and a fellow in 1859.
He practiced at Staines, Middlesex, before retiring to Hounslow, and later Epsom college. He deid in 1901.
