In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 1900s.
A good pair of marine oil paintings on board by renowned English artist Edward King Redmore. Both depict coastal scenes of ships in choppy waters. They are both well painted and signed in the lower left corners. Both are framed in their original good quality gilt frames with gilt slips.
There are a few small knocks and losses and some wear around the frames but nothing detrimental.

Edward King Redmore was born in Hull. He was the son of noted British marine painter Henry Redmore (1820-1887) who exhibited at the Royal Academy. Edward took up his famous father's profession and spent his life painting marine scenes in and around Hull.
