A fantastic Hunting scene watercolour titled ‘Over the Timber’ by John Sanderson Wells. 1872-1955. He was one of England’s most famous hunting painters, this superb example capturing the scene with such movement.

John Sanderson Wells studied at the Slade School of Art and Academic Julian. He exhibited in London at the Royal Academy from 1895-1904, and was elected to the Royal Institute in 1903.

In excellent condition throughout, the original frame having been professionally restored and looks superb.
