Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A portrait miniature from the Art Deco period is a small-scale original artwork created during the 1910s to 1930s, depicting subjects in period attire using precise micro-painting techniques.

Miniatures from this era were typically rendered in watercolour on vellum, card, or ivory, secured behind glass within brass, copper, or engine-turned metal frames.

Authentic period miniatures display detailed fine-brush execution, natural age patina on metal mountings, and accurate period details such as bobbed hair and early 20th-century dress styles.

Small framed artworks can be integrated into a gallery wall, displayed on a tabletop display easel, or positioned in narrow wall spaces to add historical texture.

Keep miniature paintings away from direct sunlight and high humidity to prevent fading, cleaning metal frames lightly with a soft dry cloth without abrasive chemical polishes.
