This distinctive moonlit owl motif is attributed to Charles Baldwyn (1859–1943), Royal Worcester’s celebrated bird painter, although unsigned as per factory practice at the time. Baldwyn’s atmospheric nocturnes remain among the most sought-after works of late 19th-century Worcester production.
