Subject: Two atmospheric landscapes — one depicting a wide coastal shoreline under a dramatic sky, the other a rustic village scene with figure before distant buildings, also beneath a moody sky.
Approximate age of artwork: Late 19th Century
Is the artwork Framed or Mounted: Presented as a matched pair in ornate gilt frames, with inner beaded mounts.
Condition Report: Both watercolours are in good period condition with age-related toning and light spotting, adding to their antique character. The gilt frames are ornate with wear consistent with age, but remain striking and complementary to the artworks. Please see photographs to assess detail and condition.
