Victorian Watercolour of a Horse

A charming watercolour of a horse in a landscape setting. The horse is beautifully represented in a difficult pose to paint, and must have been created by a capable artist though the work is only signed with the unidentified monogram FW. The painting is in good antique condition with the odd minor mark but the colours are bright and true. The piece is framed in a period rosewood frame of good colour and figuring. The work retains a wonderful label on the reverse inscribed thus:
