Description

Fred Stead (1863-1940) Studied at Shipley School of Art and the Royal Cambrian Academy. He taught at Shipley and Bradford School of Art and was also the Ispector in Art for the West Riding County Council. He exhibited regularly at the Yorkshire Union of Artists, Birmingam, Liverpool, Manchester and 32 works at the Royal Academy.

" THE COTTAGE GARDEN, RUNSWICK BAY"

is a superb example of Stead's work. It is an oil on canvas measuring 20"x 24". It is in excellent condition and is in a very good period gilt frame.

This is one of the best Yorkshire paintings by this artist we have offered.
